Member Remembered
Kimberly Sue Harms

Kimberly Sue Harms of Iola, Wisconsin gave her all, as she always did, battling COVID-19, which ended her journey on earth way too early.
Her many accomplishments included being regarded along with her husband Denny as the best Chrysler woodie restorers in the country (Harms Distinctive Restorations), an entrepreneur, a school teacher, and as a corporate jet pilot.
Kim will always be remembered as one of the most genuine, kind, compassionate, talented, and driven people you would ever meet. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Kim was born in Champagne, Illinois to Roland Dean and Mary Ann Miless. Kim married Dennis Harms in Rockford, Illinois in 1982. Denny has not only lost a loving wife but a true partner in life, whether in business or one of their many pursuits. He said, “I’ve lost my best friend.”
Kim would jump on her Kubota tractor and rearrange granite rocks and boulders in her garden. Kim was an avid sewer and crafter, making many treasured gifts for family and friends. Kim was also an avid gardener and home improvement guru, able to wire, tile, drywall, and do woodworking.
Kim was adored by her nieces and nephews who enjoyed time with her at their cabin in Canada, or their home.
Due to Kim’s love of upbeat and positive gatherings, a celebration of life will be held in the spring, the season of renewal and hope.
Kim, you touched a lot of people in such a great way. You will be missed and you are loved.
Kimberly Sue Harms

"The National Woodie Club exists to promote interest in woodies; to educate owners and the public on their history, beauty, usefulness and uniqueness; and to provide an association through which woodie owners and enthusiasts may exchange information on history, building, restoration or modification techniques and share experiences. The woodie is a special kind of car, which deserves special recognition. The National Woodie Club will work toward that goal."
